Prayer focus for the week beginning 10th September 2023:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Glovers Way, Tailors Walk, Quercus Road & Draper Close
• The Parish of Beverston
• ‘Little Fishes’ Sunday School Leaders and helpers, that they may be encouraged in this important work
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Susan Townsend ( Funeral at Westerleigh Crematorium on Friday 15th September at 11.45am) and Paul Jackson (Funeral at St Marys’ Tetbury on Friday 8th September at 2.30pm). We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year Reception Lime Class with Mrs Hamilton – Mrs Bowen/Mrs Freeman
• Local issues: continue to pray for a satisfactory decision to be made re a new location for the doctors’ surgery
• National issues: for all families who have been bereaved through failures in the national health system, especially the parents of babies killed or harmed by the nurse recently found guilty of murder
• World issues: for organisations such as Wateraid which are seeking to provide safe water to local communities, especially in rural areas abroad: may all people have access to this essential commodity for life and health
Save us, Lord our God…that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. Ps.106 V47
