
Prayer focus for the week beginning 11th February 2024:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Quail Meadows
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• The readers of lessons and intercessors
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially all those we love. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Local issues: Election of three Tetbury town councillors Thursday 15th Feb – may those elected have a genuine desire to serve the best interests of the local community
• National issues: As Lent starts on 14th February, may Christians throughout the country use this as a time of reflection and an opportunity to deepen their relationship with Christ and with fellow Christians
• World issues: for the wise and safe development of AI, that it will be used for positive, not harmful, purposes
