Prayer focus for the week beginning 15th October 2023:

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Jasmine Gardens & Holly Close
• The Parish of Beverston
• The Church Organists, as they lead and enhance the worship
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Jackie Preston (Thanksgiving at Holy Trinity Long Newnton Thursday 19th at 3pm) and Robert “Rob” Bell (Thanksgiving Friday 27th October at 2.00pm at St Marys’ Tetbury). We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 3 Willow Class with Mr Hainsworth and Mrs Begum
• Praying for Esme Lucio and Florence Lucio being baptised in St Marys’ Tetbury Saturday 14th October and their parents and Godparents
• Local issues: give thanks for our local post office, for the services offered and for the staff who work there
• National issues: For all churches & Christian organisations seeking to share the good news of God’s love in Jesus with the 95% of children and young people who have no contact with the church in this country
• World issues: Pray for Israel & Palestine and the escalation of the situation. Pray especially for Christians suffering persecution in many countries, that they may be strengthened in their faith and know God’s presence, protection, provision and peace.
