Prayer focus for the week beginning 19th November 2023:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Longtree Close
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• The coffee and tea makers as they offer hospitality to the congregation
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss , remembering especially Ann Marchant. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 4/5 Elm Class with Ms Browning and Mrs Lee
• Praying for Peter Howard and Maisie Geers who are getting married in St John the Baptist Shipton Moyne on Saturday 18th November
• Local issues: pray for the ongoing work of Listening Post, a local charity which offers counselling support
• National issues: As the enquiry into the handling of the Covid epidemic continues, pray that the voices of those who lost loved ones may be heard, and that they can find comfort in their loss
• World issues: Monday 20th November is Universal Children’s Day – pray that children everywhere may have access to education, health and freedom
