Our prayer focus for the week beginning 1st May 2022:
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Chavenage Lane & Five Trees Close
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• The Wacky races – for the safety of participants, and for a real sense of community involvement
• The elected PCC members, especially those newly elected. We thank God for their willingness to serve the church, and pray they may know His guidance
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including: John Saynor. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind: Col Peter Hervey (30/04), Diran Hoonaarian (07/05). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for Scott L and Jemma who are getting married in Tetbury on Friday 29th April, and for Robert and Janine (Shipton Moyne), and Edward and Charlotte (Long Newnton) who are getting married on Saturday 30th April
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 6 Oak Class with Mrs Cartledge/Mrs Calabria and Mrs Weston
• National issues: For safety and a just peace in Ukraine; that effective arrangements may quickly be in place to welcome and support refugees to this country
Are you, or someone you know, in need of prayer? You are welcome to hang your prayer request on the prayer tree in the prayer corner at the front of St Marys church.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, have never abandoned those who search for you. Ps.9.9-10
