Prayer focus for the week beginning 5th June


Our prayer focus for the week beginning 5th June 2022:

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Clarrie Road and Cooks Pool
• The Parish of Shipton Moyne (especially the Jubilee service there and at Beverston church)
• 5th June: iCELEBRATE Pentecost –10.00am family service at St Marys, celebrating the birthday of the Christian church
• For Steve Bullock, our new curate, as he moves into his new home in Tetbury with his family
• 11th June Churches Count on Nature in St Marys churchyard from 11.00am, with outdoor service at 3.00pm. We give thanks for the beauty of our natural surroundings
• Pray for those going on the pilgrimage to Iona, that they may know God’s blessing & draw closer to Him and each other
• Our Church Fabric teams, who take responsibility for our buildings
• Cirencester Road & Hardie Close
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Barry Spruels (funeral in St Marys’ Tetbury on Wednesday 8th June at 2.30pm) and Michael Auden. A Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Michael Auden will be held in St Marys’ Tetbury on Friday 17th June. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind: Robert Watts (01/06), Vincent Woodman (02/06). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 1 Pear Class with Mr Foster and Ms Kister
• Pray for Liz Angell who will be licenced as a Waterways Chaplain on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal on 9th June. Her commissioning will be at St Marys’ later in the year
• National issues: for the protection of all schoolchildren following the recent shootings in Texas, USA
