Prayer focus for the week beginning 23rd June 2024:

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Braybrooke Close
• The Parish of Beverston
• Remember in prayer and give thanks for everyone involved in looking after the sound system and live streaming
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Jean Warner. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for Winifred Mitchell who is being baptised in in Holy Trinity, Long Newnton on Sunday 23rd June and her parents and Godparents
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 3 Beech Class with Mr Bartrop and Mrs Rush
• Local issues: Give thanks for all the allotments in and around Tetbury, praying that those who tend them may enjoy the exercise and fresh air, the community of fellow allotment holders and the fruits of their labour
• National issues: for appropriate police action to be taken against the current rise in shoplifting, and that shop staff may be protected
Give thanks, also, on Armed Forces Day, Saturday 29th June, for all who serve in our armed forces, and pray for their safety and wellbeing
• World issues: that women’s rights will be respected, and children have access to education, throughout the world

I trust in the steadfast love of God for ever and ever. Ps.52:8
