Prayer focus for the week beginning 30th April 2023:
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Beech Tree Gardens, Gastrell Court, Courthouse Road & The Retreat
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss especially Paul, Petronilla Trustram Eve, David Lowsley Williams (Memorial service in St Marys’ Tetbury on Thursday 27th July at 2pm). We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind: Michael Auden (03/05). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for Jason Marsland and Zoe Moulding getting married on Saturday 29th April in the in St Marys’ Tetbury.
• Praying for Jude Bamford, Charlie Bamford, Paige Randall and Nathan Scott being baptised in in St Marys’ Tetbury on Sunday afternoon and their parents and Godparents
• Praying for Matthew Slough and Rebecca Spain getting married in Long Newnton Church on Thursday 4th May
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 6 Oak Class with Mr Bartrop and Mrs Weston
• Local issues: The Wacky Races – for safety for competitors and spectators, thanks for the organisers & sponsors, & strengthening of local community spirit
• National issues: Town & District elections Thursday 4th May: that those elected will serve their communities with integrity, awareness & compassion.
The Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6th May: may he uphold Christian values, rule wisely and find joy in service. Pray for safety for all during the ceremony & celebrations.
7th May: pray that community events in celebration of the Coronation may draw people together.
• World issues: pray for peace in Sudan, & protection for citizens & foreigners in the country

Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. Ephesians 6:18
