Prayer focus for the week beginning 30th June 2024:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Charlton Road and Old School Court
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• Please pray for our church treasurers, and give thanks for them in their important role
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering those we love. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 4/5 Maple Class with Ms Keen and Mrs Healey
• Local issues: Give thanks for our recreation ground, and pray that the playground facilities will be treated sensibly and with due care.
• National issues: Pray for the elections on July 4th, that people will use their democratic vote wisely, and that the outcome may be in accordance with God’s sovereign will and purpose. Pray for strength, integrity and wisdom for those elected.
• World issues: Pray that the ongoing conflict in Sudan can be brought to a peaceful conclusion, and that children especially suffering from the consequences of homelessness, malnutrition and lack of education may receive the help they so desperately need.
