Our prayer focus for the week beginning 31st July 2022:
• Tetbury Praying the Town: De Borg Close, Chapman Link & Brays Avenue
• The Parish of Shipton Moyne
• ‘Tiggywinkles’ who launder the church linen
• The Benefice service on Zoom (31st July at 10.00am) – that those who may still not feel able to return to church will join in, and that all will be blessed
• For the preparation meeting on 4th August at 7.30pm in Christ Church for Holiday@Home – that enough helpers will come forward
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Ken Dryden (Funeral at Shipton Moyne on Tuesday 2nd August at 2pm). We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind: Dr Theo Stening (07/08). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for Octavia Precious who is being baptised in Long Newnton on Sunday 31st July. Praying for Benjamin, Poppy, and Rosanna Lambert who are being baptised in Beverston on Sunday 7th August, and for Theo and Jacob Biggs being baptised in Shipton Moyne on Sunday 7trh August. Praying for all their parents and Godparents.
• Praying for couples getting married in our benefice. Kevin and Maricel (St John the Baptist, Shipton Moyne on Saturday 30th July), Kyle and Jodie (Holy Trinity Long Newnton Monday 1st August), Helen and Marek (St Marys Tetbury on Friday 5th August), and Andrew and Jo (St Marys Tetbury on Sunday 7th August.)
• National issues: for holiday makers travelling to the Continent – that patience will be shown by all and that causes for delays will be overcome amicably
