Prayer focus for the week beginning 4th February 2024:

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Park Close and Priory Way
• The Parish of Beverston
• Our Benefice Administrator – may she know God’s peace, wisdom and joy as she serves our churches and community so faithfully
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Emily Bishop (Funeral at St Marys’ Tetbury on Monday 5th February at 1.30pm.) We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends
• Year’s Mind: Rpbert “Bob” Pittam (9/02). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends)
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 2 Holly Class with Mrs Makin – Mrs Walton
• Local issues: pray for on-line ‘Experience Tetbury’, that it may be used for positive purposes to support, inform and advise
• National issues: for King Charles and the Princess of Wales – give thanks for their service to the nation and pray for their complete recovery from recent hospital procedures
• World issues: for the ongoing crisis in the Middle East – may peace and justice be restored, and further escalation of violence in the area be restrained. ‘Blessed are the peacemakers.’

Yes, the Lord will give what is good. Psalm 85: 12
