Prayer focus for the week beginning 5th May 2024:

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Wheat Hill, Wisteria Road and Woodward Close
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• Our deanery synod representatives – give thanks for their service, and pray that they may build good relationships with other churches in the area
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Peter Trustram -Eve (Memorial service on Wednesday 8th May at 2.30pm at Beverston Church). We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for Bella and Arlo Rugman-George (Sunday 5th May at 10am) and Summer and Annabelle Copeland-Eccles (Sunday 5th May at 2pm) being baptised at St Marys’ Tetbury and their parents and Godparents.
• Praying for Peter Jordan and Vanessa Argles who are getting married in St Mary’s Beverston on Saturday May 11th.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year Reception Lime Class with Mrs Hamilton – Mrs Bowen/Mrs Freeman
• Local issues: for the Heart and Soul Service at St Marys on Sunday 5th May, that it will be well attended and enable people to worship in fresh ways
• National issues: for wisdom for our police forces as they face the challenges of pro-Palestinian demonstrations and maintaining the rights and protection of the Jewish community
• World issues: continue to pray for the people of Ukraine and Gaza, that the kingdom of God may come in peace and justice for these troubled, suffering nations
