Prayer focus for the week beginning 6th August 2023:
Before you pray, give thanks to God that He is a God of compassion:
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Cotswold Close, Jacobs Close & Rylands Close
• The Parish of St Marys
• Tower Captain and Bell ringers – we thank God for their service, skill and dedication
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind: Brian Dejean (07/08). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for Noah Robertson being baptised in St Marys’ Tetbury on Sunday 6th August and his parents and Godparents
• Local issues: for the summer programme at the Goods Shed – give thanks for all who run events, the volunteers and artists, who enrich our cultural life
• National issues: for the provision of more NHS dentists, that they may be adequately compensated and available to those in urgent need of treatment
• World issues: Saturday 12th August is International Youth Day. Please pray for young people as they seek to develop their identity, that they may be protected from harmful influences, find positive role models and find hope and meaning in life.
Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth! Ps.46:10
