SIMPLY CHURCH EXPLORING THE WHY, WHAT AND HOW OF BEING CHURCH
This Lent, you are invited to take time for discussion, reflection and prayer in a home group, reflecting what it means to be church today. There are important “why” questions, from why our church exists to why we go to church. And there are also questions about “what” we do to respond to God’s call in this place, and “how” we work to fulfil this.
Our reflections draw on work published by Pastor Sim Dendy who writes that church is “a community of Jesus believers who love one another and are committed to sharing a message of hope and transformation with a fragmented world.” There is plenty to discuss and pray about!
We have five Home Groups meeting through Lent at various times and days, in the weeks beginning Monday 19th & 26th February, then Monday 4th, 11th and 18th March.
