Tetbury has a long established reputation for bell ringing, and we have a fine and varied group of ringers. Our ringers range in age from teenagers to octogenarians, so age is no barrier to enjoying this ancient custom. Practice night is Friday at 7.30 p.m, and we ring for the 10am Sunday Parish Holy Communion. Visitors and new learners are always welcome. If you would like to know more about the bells, or would like to learn to ring, please contact John Sharp (Tower Captain) via the Parish Office or at the email address bells@tetburychurch.co.uk.
The tower has an excellent ring of 8 bells dating from 1722. They "go" well and are very popular with visiting ringers.
The treble was cast by John Rudhall in 1803; the remainder are by Abraham Rudhall II, 1722. All the bells are maiden bells. The table below describes the size/approximate weights and tuning of the bells, and their inscriptions.

In 1891 the bells were rehung in the present oak frame following the rebuilding of the tower. The bells were again rehung in 1965 by John Taylor and Co. of Loughborough in memory of Sir Winston Churchill at a cost of £1100 raised by public subscription
