• Pray and give thanks for all who give their time to provide refreshments after the Sunday morning services and other occasions, and for those who wash up afterwards
• Pray for St Mary’s and Sir William Romney’s schools as they return following the summer holidays
• We pray for Edmund Lodwick & Victoria Estlin being married in Holy Trinity Long Newnton on Saturday 5th September. We pray that it will be a very special day and the start of a life-long commitment, with God at the centre of their relationship.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss, particularly remembering Rebecca Whitworth and Pat Hills. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends
• Local issues: Pray that the community barbecue to be held on Friday 4th September at the Millennium Green will be a happy social occasion and help to encourage a sense of local community.
• National issues: On this last bank holiday before Christmas, pray for safety on the roads and seaside activities
• World issues: Pray for the work of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship), especially for its work in Madagascar, one of the poorest countries in the world.
