Prayer focus for the week beginning 16th February 2025:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Old Brewery Lane & Warns Court
• The Parish of Shipton Moyne
• Pray for all those who attend the regular church services, that they may find spiritual nourishment and feel part of the church community, including those who take part on-line.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Adrian George, Victor Smart, and Yvonne Wood. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year Reception/Year 1 Lime Class with Mrs Hamilton and Mrs Bowen / Mrs Avis
• Local issues: Give thanks for our community volunteer drivers and pray that more drivers will generously offer their services.
• National issues: Pray for the future of terrestrial TV, that it will continue to be provided and adequately funded, and that programmes will be produced which are positive and uplifting.
• World issues: Pray that any hostages still held by Hamas and Israel may be released without harm.
Yet give attention to your servant’s prayer…O Lord my God. 1 Kings 8:28
