- Local issues: Pray for the service of prayer for Christian Unity, to be held at Christ Church on Sunday 18th January, followed by tea and the TACT AGM. Give thanks that our local churches do work together to witness to our shared faith and desire to serve our community. Remember in prayer St Marys PCC meeting to be held on 20th January, that the Holy Spirit will guide any decisions made. Also, pray for the Reflect Women’s Breakfast to be held at Christ Church on Saturday 24th January, that it will be a time of encouragement and fellowship as one of our local church members shares how her Christian faith has shaped her life.
- We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Miss Janes and Mrs Amor and the pupils of Beech class
- The Departed and those who mourn their loss including, Diana Mills, Sheila Chivers, Charles Walker, Katherine Hills, Richard Glanville and Carolyn Weatherup. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
- Year’s Mind – Jilly Aylmer (19.1) – “Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death – often a difficult time for family and friends.
- National issues: Pray for all those caring for family members who are suffering from dementia. Give them strength, patience and appropriate support from local providers and organisations set up to help those suffering from dementia and those who have the responsibility for caring for them.
- World issues: Pray that world leaders may work together to uphold the rights, freedom and sovereignty of countries such as Greenland, Ukraine and Taiwan.
