• The Parish of Long Newnton
• Pray and give thanks for all who help maintain our churchyards, including ‘Tetbury in Bloom’ gardeners.
• We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Mrs Boswell and Mrs Thornbury and the pupils of Cherry class
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Barrie Williams. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind – Janet Jones (1.3) – “Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death – often a difficult time for family and friends.
• We pray for – Beatrice and Elizabeth Giles who are being baptised in St Marys’ Tetbury on Saturday 7th March, and for Elma Mulraney who is being baptised at Holy Trinity, Long Newnton on Sunday 8th March.
• Local issues: Give thanks for the various activities which take place in the library, and pray for blessing on those who run them.
• National issues: Pray that the government’s overhaul of special needs provision will not decrease the provision of support for SEND students
• World issues: Tuesday 3rd March is World Wildlife Day. Pray for all those who are working to protect endangered species of animals, birds, fish, plants and other threatened aspects of our natural world. Also, Sunday 8th March is International Women’s Day. Pray that their rights may be upheld, that girls may receive education, and that women will be valued and treated fairly.
Blessed be God, because He has not rejected my prayer, or removed His steadfast love from me!. Ps.66 V.20
