- Pray and give thanks for our choir directors in Tetbury, praying especially for the new Community choir director, that the choir will flourish under the new leadership. Pray too for the pop-up choir which enhances special events in Tetbury.
- Remember in prayer our archivists and all who help maintain our registers.
- Pray for St Mary’s School, particularly Mrs Wheeler, Mrs Bish and Mrs Rush and the pupils of Ash class
- The Departed and those who mourn their loss, in particular Father John Hawthorne who was vicar at St Marys’ Tetbury for 15 years until 2001. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends
- Local issues: Pray that there can be a safe and practical resolution to the current closure of the road from Tetbury to Malmesbury by Tetbury hospital
- National issues: Pray that the decisions announced in the recent budget may be in the best interests of the country and especially for families struggling financially.
- World issues: Pray for the American mid-term elections on Tuesday 3rd November, that they may be peaceful, fair and support the wellbeing of Americans generally and the wider world where America is so influential.
Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Ps.82 Vs.1-4
