• Tetbury Praying the Town: Court Field & Holborow Place
• The parish of Shipton Moyne
• Pray and give thanks for those who provide and arrange the flowers in our church, which help to enhance our surroundings
• Pray for St Mary’s School, particularly Mrs Boswell and Mrs Thornbury and the pupils of Cherry class
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends
• Please pray for the new Café church services to be held on the last Sunday of each month for a trial period of three months, beginning on the 27th September. May they draw us closer together as a church community, and refresh our worship to our Heavenly Father through Jesus our Lord.
• Local issues: give thanks for local quiz evenings, which draw people together in these enjoyable activities and raise money for local causes
• National issues: pray for all funeral directors and those involved with families grieving the death of loved ones. May they show wisdom and compassion as they serve.
• World issues: Thursday 24th September is World Maritime Day. Pray especially that a solution can be found to the problem of plastic waste in our oceans, especially its harm to wildlife – birds, fish, mammals and other maritime creatures.
