Prayer focus for the week beginning 21st June

Hands

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Braybrooke Close
• The parish of Long Newnton
• Pray and give thanks for everyone involved in looking after the sound system & live streaming
• We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Begum and the pupils of Willow Class
• We pray for Brian Loggoh-Robertson & Lucy Painter being married in St John the Baptist, Shipton Moyne on Saturday 27th June. We pray that it will be a very special day and the start of a life-long commitment, with God at the centre of their relationship
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends
• Local issues: pray for our local schools, that any summer activities and visits will run smoothly and will be positive experiences for students and staff
• National issues: Give thanks for our shops and stores, and pray that they may be protected from potential shoplifting
• Give thanks for fathers as we remember them on Fathers’ Day (Sunday 21st). May they feel valued and be good role models to their children.
• World issues: Pray for all those working to protect endangered species, that they may see successful outcomes to their actions and be protected themselves.

The Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. Ps.100 V.5
