Prayer focus for the week beginning 22nd March

Hands

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Romney Road
• The parish of Beverston
• Pray and give thanks for all those who clean our churches regularly.
• We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Miss Turner and Mrs Healey and the pupils of Plum class
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Roger Bickle and John d’Arcy-Kincade. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind – Ingeburg Herzog (25.3) – “Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death – often a difficult time for family and friends.
• Local issues: Pray that the grass in the recreation ground will soon recover from the recent excessive rainfall which has caused very muddy conditions there
• National issues: Pray that any decisions about whether to ban the use of smart phones in schools will be in the best interests of students’ mental and emotional health
• World issues: Pray that the recent/current unrest in Iran will lead to a less repressive regime.

Blessed be God, because He has not rejected my prayer, or removed His steadfast love from me!. Ps.66 V.20
