
Prayer focus for the week beginning 22nd September 2024:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Court Field
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• Remember in prayer and give thanks for Mandie Winbow, the Youth Worker at Sir William Romney School, especially in her work with the students during lunch-time activities.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering those we love. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 2 Juniper Class with Miss Turner and Mrs Healey
• Local issues: Give thanks for all who run the various U3A events in Tetbury, and for the opportunities of further learning in the different groups
• National issues: Pray for our government as its members return from the summer recess, that MPs will face the many challenges with wisdom, insight, integrity and compassion
• World issues: Pray for the people of Ukraine, whose power supplies have recently been attacked by Russia, that they will have adequate energy resources as the cold winter months approach.
Answer me, O Lord, for your steadfast love is good. Psalm 69:16
