Prayer focus for the week beginning 23rd March 2025:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Romney Road
• The Parish of St Marys
• Give thanks for all those involved in keeping our church clean. May they know they are valued.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Michael Smith. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind – Keith Body (28.3) – “Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death – often a difficult time for family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 3 Willow Class with Mr Brown and Mrs Begum
• Local issues: Pray that more people will participate in the monthly Zoom prayer time for our town (2nd Monday of each month at 7.30pm. Contact Gwyneth Richards via St Marys Church office for link.)
• National issues: continue to pray for the leaders of the Church of England, that the right person will be selected to replace Archbishop Justin Welby, and that the church will come through repentance and cleansing of the past to be stronger and renewed for the many challenges it faces.
• World issues: Pray for teams working on different translations of the Bible, that the day may come when all people groups will be able to read God’s Word in their own language.
