Our prayer focus for the week beginning 25th September 2022:
• • Tetbury Praying the Town: London Road & Combers End
• The Parish of Shipton Moyne
• For local friendship and other social clubs and activities offering opportunities for people to meet together in warm and welcoming surroundings
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss, remembering especially Simon Preston and Zoraide “Zed” Tatchell. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind: John Drew (29/9). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for Toby Ryan and Natasha Walker getting married in Holy Trinity Long, Newnton on Saturday 24th September, and for Christopher Blake and Stephanie Rigby getting married in Shipton Moyne on Saturday 1st October.
• Praying for Christabel McAlpine who is being baptised in Long Newnton on Sunday 25th September and her parents and Godparents.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 1 Plum Class with Ms Beckett – Mrs Bell/Mrs Amor
• National issues: pray about the increase in violent crime in the UK, that the police and other agencies will find ways of addressing the causes so that all can live in safe localities.
• World-wide: that governments will work together to mitigate the effects of climate change and protect the most vulnerable societies
