Prayer focus for the week beginning 27th October 2024:

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

  • Tetbury Praying the Town: Gumstool Hill
  • The Parish of Shipton Moyne
  • Please pray for the Choir Directors in the Benefice, and for Tetbury’s Director of Music, Jonathan. Thank God for their service to our churches
  • Praying for Robert Sharpe and Sanit Dadee, who are getting married in St Marys’ on Sunday 27th October
  • Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 4/5 Maple Class with Ms Keen and Mrs Royle
  • The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Mr Brian Wood, we give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
  • Local issues: Pray for the service on All Souls Day, 2nd November, that those who have recently lost loved ones may find comfort and peace.
  • National issues: Pray that the budget to be announced at the end of the month will be fair, wise and effective in directing the country’s finances.
  • World issues: the 27th October is Bible Sunday. Pray for wisdom and accuracy for all Bible translators, and that nations throughout the world may soon have access to the Bible in their own languages.

 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6
