- Give thanks for those who so faithfully open and close the church each day
- We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Mrs Makin and Mrs Bell and the pupils of Holly class
- The Departed and those who mourn their loss. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends
- We pray for Benjamin Butterworth and Karen Lock who are getting married on Wednesday 31st December at Shipton Moyne. We pray that it will be a very special day and the start of a life-long commitment, with God at the centre of their relationship.
- Local issues: Pray for all those working in our local inns, restaurants and cafes at this very busy time. May they have time to rest and share with their families, despite their work commitments.
- National issues: Pray that the coming year may see the unemployed finding suitable work, economic growth in the country, and increased community spirit as people strive to work together and support each other.
- World issues: As the year comes to an end, may those living in countries where there are conflicts, floods, famine or other challenging situations be given hope for the future and work together for the common good
