Prayer focus for the week beginning 28th September

Hands

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Cutwell
• The Parish of St Marys.
Also, give thanks for the harvest in the celebration service to be held at Holy Trinity Church, Long Newnton, followed by a shared lunch, on 28th September
• Pray for the helpers and leaders of our Messy Church as we seek guidance on future events and pray that a good number of families will attend and be blessed. Pray for all families connected with the church and for ways to help them feel included in our church life.
• Remember in prayer the Ladies’ Reflect Breakfast to be held at Christ Church on Saturday 4th October, that all who attend may be encouraged and challenged as they listen to the testimony of Rosemary Bailey.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Mike Van Sloots. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Mrs Boswell and Mrs Thornbury and the pupils of Cherry Class.
• Local issues: give thanks for the Tetbury Music Festival, to be held from Saturday 27th September – Sunday 5th October, and pray that all the organisation will run smoothly.
Also, pray that the right person will come forward to fill the current vacancy on Tetbury Town Council.
• National issues: pray that amendments to the current Assisted Suicide bill going through parliament will robustly protect vulnerable people
• World issues: pray that businesses, companies and national infrastructures may be adequately protected against cyber attacks

Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! Psalm 27 V.7
