Hands

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: St Mary’s Road
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• Pray for our Rector, the Revd. Sarah Heywood and our Associate Priest, the Revd. Pauline Setterfield, especially during this busy Easter period, that they may know the peace and joy of our risen Lord Jesus and the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit
• We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Begum and the pupils of Willow Class.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss, including Roger Bickle, John d’Arcy-Kincade, Mary Hall & Sandra Withnall. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Local issues: We pray for our children and families as our schools begin their Easter break. That they may be able to spend time together and hear the Easter Story.
• National issues: Pray about the many people in our country, especially young people, suffering from anxiety and mental health issues. Pray that they will receive the support needed, and that many will turn to God in their need and find peace and reassurance in His love.
• World issues: May this Easter period be a time when people throughout our world reflect on the willing sacrifice of our Lord Jesus to die for our sin, and rejoice in His triumph over sin and death in His glorious resurrection. Pray that many more people will come to faith as the church celebrates God’s loving purposes through Jesus.
• Bring before God the continuing conflict in the Middle East, for a just and permanent resolution, especially over the Strait of Hormuz. Pray especially for Christian organisations and individuals in the region, including Bible Society

I trust in the steadfast love of God for ever and ever. I will thank you for ever. Ps.52 Vs 8-9
