Prayer focus for the week beginning 29th September 2024:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Cutwell
• The Parish of Shipton Moyne
• Please pray for the helpers and leaders at our monthly iSingPOP CELEBRATE, and pray that many families will want to share in the worship and activities. Also, continue to pray for the complete restoration to health of our curate, Pauline.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Ruth Smith. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind Tyler “T J” Hudd (05/10) . (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 3 Beech Class with Mr Bartrop and Mrs Amor
• Local issues: Pray for the Tetbury Music Festival, that it may be well attended. Give thanks for the joy of music and the talent and dedication of the various musicians
• National issues: Remember in prayer the political party conventions, that all may strive to plan and work effectively for the flourishing and wellbeing of the country
• World issues: Continue to pray for the situation in Israel, Gaza and Lebanon, that the war may not escalate further and that through diplomacy tensions may ease and a way may be opened towards peace
Righteousness and justice are the foundations of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. Ps.89:14
