Prayer focus for the week beginning 2nd January 2022:
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Sherwood Road, Linfoot Road and Holder Close
• Our local schools: that in-school teaching may not be further disrupted by Covid
• The Parish of Beverston
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss, remembering especially Syd Mosdell, and all he has done for the community. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• As a new year begins, may each us find more time for prayer and Bible reading, with praise and thanksgiving being central.
• National issues: we give thanks for the life, courage and witness of Bishop Desmond Tutu, and pray for all who stand up for freedom and equality and challenge injustice in the name of Jesus Christ
O Lord, I call upon you…give ear to my voice when I call to you! Let my prayer be counted as incense before you. Ps.141 Vs.1-2
