Prayer focus for the week beginning 2nd March 2025:

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Oxleaze Road, Oxleaze Close & Chestnut Close
• The Parish of Beverston
• Remember in prayer all who help to maintain our churchyards, including the ‘Tetbury in Bloom’ gardeners, and give thanks for their valuable services which make our town so attractive.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Peta Pope and Harold Porter. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 2 Holly Class with Mrs Makin – Mrs Bell
• Local issues: As Lent begins this week, pray for the Lent home groups, that they may be well attended and that all who participate may find their faith and understanding deepened as they study and share together. Pray this also for those attending the church weekend away, beginning on Friday 7th March.
• National issues: Pray that the Prime Minister’s decision to divert funds from international aid to increasing our armed forces may not cause undue hardship on countries desperately needing support.
• World issues: 8th March is International Women’s Day. Pray that women’s rights may be respected and upheld, especially in countries where girls and women suffer restrictions and repression.

I cry aloud to God; I cry aloud, and he hears me. Psalm 77:1
