Prayer focus for the week beginning 3rd April 2022

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Berkeley Way, Talboys Walk
• As the final Lent homegroups end this week, may those taking part have a deeper awareness of the depth, comprehensiveness and challenge of the Lord’s Prayer.
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• For our Rector, Revd. Canon Poppy Hughes, and our Assistant Curate, the Revd. Pauline Setterfield, as they minister to the people of the benefice.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss especially John Harrop and Sir John Craven. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family ad friends.
• Year’s Mind: Mary Arnold (3/4), Ann Inskip (4/4) and Michael Sparrowhawk (5/4). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 5 Elm Class with Ms Browning – Mrs Lee
• Praying for William Britten who is being baptised on Sunday morning in St Marys’ Tetbury and his parents and Godparents
• National issues: For the 3 million plus people of Ukraine who have had to leave their home – for protection, provision, and above all, peace.

How precious is thy steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of thy wings. Ps.36 V.7
