Prayer focus for the week beginning 5th April

Hands

Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)

• Tetbury Praying the Town: Shearers Way, Woolsack Close & Merchants Walk
• The parish of Shipton Moyne.
• Remember in prayer and give thanks for our clergy who have permission to officiate
• We pray for St Mary’s School and particularly Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Begum and the pupils of Willow Class.
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss, including John d’Arcy-Kincade, Mary Hall, Sandra Withnall & Val Pearce. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Local issues: we give thanks for our two care homes in Tetbury, and pray that the staff may feel valued and supported, and that the residents will be cared for with compassion and respect. May there be an atmosphere of peace and positivity.
• National issues: Pray for God’s blessing on Christian events taking place during the Easter holidays, that all who attend may be refreshed and renewed in their spirit and faith.
• World issues: Tuesday 7th April is World Health Day. Pray that all may have access to appropriate and safe healthcare without the worry of financial hardship. Give thanks and pray for organisations like Mission Aviation fellowship who take health workers to remote villages and provide emergency flights to hospitals for seriously ill patients

I trust in the steadfast love of God for ever and ever. I will thank you for ever. Ps.52 Vs 8-9
