Prayer focus for the week beginning 7th May 2023:
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Berkeley Way, Talboys Walk
• The Parish of St Marys
• Elected PCC members, especially those newly appointed – may God guide them in their new roles
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss especially Paul, Petronilla Trustram Eve (Memorial service in Beverston on Friday 12th May at 2.30pm), and David Lowsley Williams (Memorial service in Tetbury on Thursday 27th July at 2pm). We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind: Beryl Gillman (10/05). (“Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death –often a difficult time for family and friends).
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 6 Oak Class with Mr Bartrop and Mrs Weston
• Praying for Alexander Rose and Suzanne Dowty getting married on Saturday 13th May in the in St John the Baptist, Shipton Moyne.
• Local issues: For the litter pick & plastic-free picnic on May 8th: we thank God for our town, and for those who keep it clean and tidy
• National issues: that measures be taken to limit on-line pornography, with its dangers of addiction and devastating impact on human relationships
• World issues: International Dawn Chorus Day May 7th: give thanks for the beauty of bird song, and pray that wild birds will be protected and encouraged
