
Prayer focus for the week beginning 9th March 2025:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Park Close & Priory Way
• The Parish of Long Newnton
• Give thanks for all the spring flowers in bloom around the town and in our churchyard
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss including Peta Pope, Harold Porter and Jane Fenwick. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Year’s Mind – Charlotte Cooper (13/3) – “Year’s Mind” is to mark the first anniversary of a death – often a difficult time for family and friends.
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 2 Juniper Class with Miss Turner and Mrs Healey
• Local issues: Pray for the work of our church enrolment officers at this time when the electoral role has to be renewed, that they will receive the forms promptly and correctly completed.
• National issues: 10th March is Commonwealth Day. Pray for all the countries included in our commonwealth, that they may be valued and blessed through mutual cooperation.
• World issues: Pray for all those working to produce food for the nations, that they may experience good working conditions and not be exploited.
