Advent Home Groups 2021: God in the everyday

November 13, 2021

Advent Home Groups 2021: God in the everyday The theme for our Advent Home Groups this year finding God in the everyday. Drawing on our lockdown experience of sharing Zoom worship at our kitchen table, we reflect on our relationship with God in the “warp and weft” of our lives. Jesus Christ is at the heart of our reflections, as we prepare to celebrate the Incarnation at Christmas. In our Quiet Day on Friday 26th November, we wonder at the meaning of those words of the much-loved carol, “Hark the Herald Angels sing”: “veiled in flesh the Godhead see; hail…

November 13, 2021

THY KINGDOM COME! In these final weeks of the Church year, we mark “Kingdom Season”.  We reflect on what means to believe in the coming of God’s Kingdom here on earth. This is what we pray and work, for here and now – bringing in God’s reign of love, justice and peace for all people and nations.  And we look forward to the fulfilment of God’s promises in Jesus Christ, when suffering is ended, and all creation is gathered in God’s loving arms. Join our worship on Sunday 14th November 2021 for a Eucharist for Remembrance Sunday 10.00am in the Parish Church of…

During the service, as part of the sermon, the Treasurer Mike Hardwick will talk about how church finances work. We hope you can join us. Poppy

This year, loving concern to keep everyone safe means we will again hold the…
