Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
- Tetbury Praying the Town: Clarrie Road and Cooks Pool
- The Parish of Long Newnton
- Give thanks and pray for the Food bank organisers and helpers. May they be sensitive to the needs of those who come to receive supplies.
- The Departed and those who mourn their loss. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
- Local issues: Give thanks for the recent Tetbury and District U3A Open Day at the Goods shed, and for the opportunities to take up such a wide range of regular activities
- National issues: Give thanks that in this country more Generation Z young people are coming to faith in Christ. (Church attendance in this age group has apparently increased by 50% in the last 6 years.) Pray that we as a church may find ways of reaching out to the young people in our own local community.
- World issues: 12th August is International Youth Day. Pray that all young people may have the opportunity for education and to develop their full potential, and above all to know that they are loved by God.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15 V.13
