Prayer focus for the week beginning 16th June 2024:
Before you pray, give thanks that ‘You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer. (Ps.86 V.5)
• Tetbury Praying the Town: Berrells Road & The Berrells
• The Parish of St Marys
• Remember in prayer and give thanks for the Pastoral Assistants and home visitors as they visit those who are housebound, reminding them that they are still a valuable part of our church community
• The Departed and those who mourn their loss remembering especially Brenda Hatton (Funeral at St Marys’ Tetbury on Tuesday 18th June at noon) and Jean Warner. We give thanks for their lives and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
• Praying for Winifred Mitchell who is being baptised in in Holy Trinity, Long Newnton on Sunday 23rd June and her parents and Godparents
• Praying for St Mary’s School: Year 3 Willow Class with Mr Hainsworth and Mrs Begum
• Local issues: Give thanks for those who drive the community transport minibus, enabling those with limited mobility or without personal transport to reach shops and places of interest
• National issues: Pray that the government will address the current lack of NHS dental services
• World issues: pray for the effective functioning of NATO, and that the requests of new countries wishing to join will be addressed appropriately. Pray also for refugees on World Refugee Day on Thursday 20th June.
I trust in the steadfast love of God for ever and ever. Ps.52:8
