- The parish of Shipton Moyne
- Give thanks and pray for the flower arrangers as they sensitively enhance our church.
- The Departed and those who mourn their loss. We give thanks for their lives, and pray for God’s comfort for their family and friends.
- Praying for Stephen Meachin and Holly Westwood who are getting married at St Marys’ Tetbury on Wednesday 20th August and Jon Bentley and Hannah Wilson who are getting married at St Mary the Virgin Beverston on Saturday 23rd
- Local issues: Give thanks that the new Dolphins Hall building is now completed and functioning. May it enhance the ongoing community work, especially among our young people.
- National issues: Pray for any Christian holidays and clubs taking place for children and young people, that many may come to know Jesus as their friend, Saviour and guide, especially with all the pressures of social media.
- World issues: Tuesday 19th is World Humanitarian Day. Give thanks for all those who serve others, especially in dangerous areas and situations. Pray for God’s protection and guidance for them.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15 V.13
