In our Lent Home Groups this week, we focussed on our relationship with creation. Reading Psalm 65 together we reflected on God’s tender care in creation, acting to renew and sustain the earth. And we hear again our call to be stewards who, in our turn, offer that same tender care for this beautiful world. Hello from the “nearly new” curate! I am not sure for how much longer I can say “I’m the new curate in Tetbury”; I have been here already eight months! I am however new to these pages and this is an opportunity for me to introduce myself. World Day of Prayer service Thank you to Sarah Parton and all the team for a wonderful service on Friday evening. We shared in worship prepared by the women of the Republic of Vanuatu, hearing of their life and sharing in their hopes and prayers. Greening Tetbury Tip of the Month for January 2021 It has arisen from Countryfile’s mission to Plant Britain – plant anything – but plant for the future sustainability of our planet. From Wednesday 2nd December, we will again be able to hold services in our church buildings, beginning with our monthly mid-week Holy Communion in St Marys’ Church, Tetbury, at 9.30am on Wednesday 2nd December. And we are finalising plans for Christmas. More information in our “Keeping in Touch” email later in the week. In the meantime, churches are open for individual prayer. In this Benefice, church opening times are: St Marys’ Tetbury: Sundays 10am-4pm Beverston and Shipton Moyne: Sunday morning and Wednesday afternoon.
