I am sure you have heard that places of worship can now be opened to the public for individual prayer. After careful thought, the plan is to open St Marys’ from tomorrow (Monday 15th June), with the building being open daily: Monday – Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm, and on Sunday, 12.00 to 4.00pm. This is all very new. We will keep everything under review and, if we encounter any difficulties, hope people will understand if we need to reduce the frequency or length of opening times. Of course, we are asking people to maintain social distancing of 2m while in…
Read MoreAlthough our church building is closed, many of the costs continue. Thank you to everyone who continues to give via the Parish Giving Scheme or other regular standing orders. All our four churches are so grateful for this ongoing support. Of course, we also pass around the collection plate in church on Sundays. As we are not able to do that right now, Tetbury Church Council (PCC) have set up a JustGiving page (click here: https://www.justgiving.com/tetburypcc). Very sadly, St Marys’ Church is facing considerable financial difficulties. We have our ongoing commitment to pay our Parish Share. This is our contribution…
Read MoreIt has been a joy and a privilege to serve as your Assistant Curate for these last three years. I will forever be grateful for the experiences I have had here, and for all you have done to support and nurture me as a new deacon and priest. I never imagined that I would finish my time with you in these circumstances, but I feel so blessed and thankful for all you have done to say goodbye to Frankie, Clarissa and I. We were so touched by how many people joined us on Zoom on Friday evening, and my final service with you this…

At the same time the need for resources to help fight this virus in the poorest countries of the world is right now. With our inability to raise money by our usual methods this Christian Aid Week, Alison Hesketh our Christian Aid co-ordinator, has produced this quiz as a very small way to help. There…
Read MoreEverybody is asked to share the Peace in ways which do not involve contact (that is, not shaking hands etc) Following updated advice, Holy Communion will now be distributed in one kind only (that is, the consecrated bread/wafer/host), with the priest alone taking the wine. We are asking everyone to receive the bread/wafer/host on the hand ONLY (not on the tongue). If possible, when attending the Eucharist in particular please sanitise your hands as you come into church, if sanitized gel. Ministers are required to sanitise their hands before and after distributing communion. Everyone will be invited to receive communion standing, rather than kneeling at the communion rail, again to…

Everyone is welcome, with special activities for children in our Little Fishes Sunday School. And perhaps…
